Ohio State limiting capacity to 20 percent

Ohio State is reducing capacity at Ohio Stadium to 20 percent for Buckeyes games this fall. The athletic department made the announcement to season ticket holders Tuesday, along with other restrictions for fans attending games in 2020 at “The Horseshoe” in Columbus. There will be no tailgating outside, and face coverings will be mandatory inside the stadium due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis. The historic stadium normally holds nearly 102,800 fans for football. “While no final decision has been made regarding the 2020 football season, the Department of Athletics has been working diligently with university leaders, public health experts and government officials to create game day plans that protect the health, safety and well-being of our student-athletes, staff, faculty and fans,” the department said.
