
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Since 2003, Mike Jones has used the secondary market to purchase his Ohio State football tickets. So has Ryan Hartman, a Cleveland native now living in Dallas. Through StubHub or Columbus-area ticket brokers, he gladly pays a premium for tickets for himself and his son, already rabid Buckeyes fan Blake, to attend one game per season. If Ohio State plays home games in 2020, however, neither Jones nor the Hartmans will attend. The cost of tickets and travel are not the issue. They are sitting out 2020 Buckeye games due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “I’m thinking I will not go to games until this whole mess clears up,” said Jones, 65, of suburban Cincinnati. “It will be too difficult to go.
