
The Big Ten already has announced that it would be going to a 10-game, conference-only schedule this season, a model that has since been adopted by the ACC (that league still hopes to play one non-conference game), Pac-12 and SEC. The Big Ten is expected to release its new schedule next week, and there’s a report from the Columbus Dispatch that Michigan-Ohio State, easily the league’s biggest game of the season, will likely be moved from Nov. 28 in Columbus to September or October. The reasoning for the move is as a hedge against the COVID-19 pandemic causing a cancellation in late November. Most experts are predicting another surge in the late fall/winter during traditional flu season.
