COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State football program took a formal step in its recruiting Saturday, sending out official offers to its class of 2021. Schools are allowed to send official offers as soon as Aug. 1. Most of the commits tweeted graphics of their offers, showing their excitement for the future. For the commits, the eagerness to start their college careers comes with being part of the top recruiting class in the country. Nineteen players are committed in the class of 2021, and the Buckeyes have five-star prospects in Jack Sawyer, TreVeyon Henderson, Donovan Jackson and Kyle McCord. Ohio State has also earned the commitments of five of Ohio’s top 10 prospects in Sawyer, Jayden Ballard, Michael Hall Jr., Reid Carrico and Ben Christman.
