
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State football commitment Jordan Hancock, one of the nation’s top defensive-back recruits in the Class if 2021, has decided to not play this season for his high school, Suwanee (Ga.) North, his family told 247Sports.com. Both of Hancock’s parents have health conditions, and the four-star prospect wants to avoid putting them at risk of coronavirus, 247Sports.com reported. Hancock is ranked as the fourth-best cornerback in the nation by 247Sports, and the 40th-best overall prospect. Hancock committed to Ohio State in July, just five days following his decommittment from Clemson after joining the Tigers’ class in March. He was the first player out of Georgia to commit to the Buckeyes since 2019, when they brought in running back Steele Chambers and offensive lineman Harry Miller.
