Every team added a conference opponent, as the league moved from nine conference games to 10. As the extra game, Ohio State was going to play either Wisconsin, Minnesota, Purdue or Northwestern — and the Buckeyes got Purdue. The Boilermakers might be the worst team of those four this season (I like Northwestern as a West Division dark horse), but no Big Ten team has been more successful against Ohio State in recent times than Purdue.
