In late April the Buckeyes and Daleville (Va.) Lord Botetourt offensive tackle Gunner Givens talked. At the time Givens talked to Ohio State graduate assistant offensive line coach Kennedy Cook. Ohio State offensive line coach Greg Studrawa followed up and spoke with Givens not long after Cook and Givens spoke, though Givens did not land a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes on the call. Since then Givens has continued to add offers including one from Clemson on June 1. But even though the Buckeyes had not offered to that point it did not damper Givens’ interest in Ohio State. “For sure I love OSU and what they do,” Givens told Bucknuts in June. Now the school Givens talked about loving “what they do” has offered him.
