Gunner Givens, 5-star 2022 OT, earns Ohio State football offer: Buckeyes Recruiting Roundup


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football continues to plug away at its 2022 recruiting class with Virginia offensive lineman Gunner Givens of Lord Botetourt High School being the last player to earn an offer. Givens — rated as the No. 19 overall player and No. 2 offensive tackle — is 11 offensive linemen to earn an offer in the class, adding it to a list that already includes Alabama, Clemson and Oklahoma. Other Big Ten schools to offer him are Maryland, Michigan and Penn State. Ohio State is starting to make its way through Virginia, already holding a commitment from 2021 running back TreVeyon Henderson while being among offensive tackle Tristan Leigh’s top four choices. It was also on a shortlist to earn cornerback Tony Grimes who’d eventually reclassify after choosing North Carolina.
