When the Big Ten postponed its 2020 college football season, moving it from the fall with hopes of playing in the spring, Jeff Okudah — like anyone else — took to Twitter and reacted Tuesday. The former Ohio State cornerback’s first take, though, also served a lofty prediction. “They didn’t want to see Ohio State win the Natty,” Okudah said in a tweet, referencing the College Football Playoff national championship. The Buckeyes went 13-1 overall on the 2019 season, winning a third straight Big Ten title and reaching the CFB Playoff for the first time since the 2016 campaign. OSU’s year ended with a 29-23 loss to Clemson in the CFB Playoff semifinal, the Fiesta Bowl. Ohio State projected as a favorite for a fourth consecutive conference championship and figured to be heavily involved in the national title picture.
