COLUMBUS, Ohio ? How much has Justin Fields changed since he joined Ohio State football 20 months ago? We have not been able to observe Fields’ athletic growth since the end of last season. We did, though, catch a glimpse of Fields’ personality during a conference call the day he and six other Buckeyes were introduced as 2020 team captains. Fields came across as more comfortable, looser, quicker to wit and not afraid to mix it up a bit with his comments about “Beating the brakes off” Michigan. Maybe that had something to do with being on the phone as opposed to standing at a podium with a room full of reporters staring back.
