COLUMBUS, Ohio — I get why some Ohio State football fans remain salty about the lack of a season this fall. One hundred percent, I get it. Generations of tradition and a possible shot at a national championship potentially wiped away. I sympathize with what they and the Buckeye players and coaches and families will miss. However, one does not need to look hard to see a silver lining in the sort of winter season which OSU coach Ryan Day first proposed and which seems to be gaining real momentum within the league.
