How many tough decisions will Ohio State football have about its roster a year from now?


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Because of the uncertainty around the effect of the coronavirus on the fall sports season, the NCAA decided to give everyone a break — nothing that happens to fall athletes will count against their eligibility. Whatever this season will be for football, and other fall sports, it’s a freebie. If you were supposed to be a senior this fall for the Ohio State football team, well, the Buckeyes could play an eight-game winter schedule starting in January and you can still come back next fall as a senior again. If the entire season gets wiped out? Back as a senior next fall. If you’re an Alabama football player, and you play a full 10-game SEC season this fall and make the College Football National Championship, you can still come back as a senior in the fall of 2021, because none of that would have counted against you.…
