High school football made a return Friday in Ohio and Jayden Ballard debuted with a bang. The Massillon (Ohio) Washington four-star wide receiver and Ohio State commitment flashed more of his ability that ranked him as the 247Sports Composite’s No. 49 overall prospect, No. 5 wide receiver and No. 2 player in Ohio for the 2021 recruiting class. During Friday’s game against Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward, Ballard streaked down the right sideline and came down with a leaping grab over a defense in the end zone. At the six-second mark of the video below, Ballard takes flight — just over an outstretched defender’s fingertips — and rips away an intended deep ball.
