COLUMBUS, Ohio — Eight days ago, we asked our Buckeye Talk text subscribers to design their preferred Big Ten football schedule for the fall, winter or spring. At the time, we felt a sense of urgency. Three weeks had passed since the Big Ten announced the cancellation of the fall sports season. Parents were protesting, players were pushing, and one could reasonably assume the league might move swiftly to release a new plan. Now we’re coming up on a month since the least popular sports decision in Ohio since LeBron James took his talents to South Beach.
