COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State fully returned to the college football rankings on Sunday, but many voters decided the Buckeyes will need to earn their way back to the top of the poll. Ohio State received four first-place votes and is ranked No. 6 in Sunday’s Associated Press Top 25. The Buckeyes and other Big Ten programs were ineligible for the previous two polls, as were all teams from conferences whose teams had canceled their seasons. Ohio State was ranked No. 2 in the preseason poll with 21 first-place votes. Clemson remained No. 1 with 5 first-place votes. Alabam, with three first-place votes, ranked second.
