Now, it is time to shift gears and focus on where Steele ranked Ohio State’s defensive position groups in his popular preseason magazine and some excerpts about what he wrote about them. It is going to be very difficult for the Buckeyes to improve defensively compared to last season? Why? because OSU ranked No. 1 in the country in total defense, allowing 247.6 yards per game. They also ranked No. 2 in the land in scoring defense, allowing 12.5 points per game.
