COLUMBUS, Ohio — When the opportunity came, Sevyn Banks unleashed an entire year of pain and frustration in one moment. The Ohio State cornerback missed his junior season of high school with injury and returned to lead Orlando’s Jones High School into district championship contention. In one game late in the 2017 season, coach Eli Williams recalled, Banks lined up to defend a fourth-and-short play near the red zone. Banks’ speed and ball skills had made him a major college football prospect. On this play, he needed something else.
