Joey Kaufman | Buckeye Xtra Offensive lineman Wyatt Davis and cornerback Shaun Wade are eligible to play for Ohio State in its coming season after opting out earlier this month. During a radio appearance on the Buckeye Roundtable show on 97.1 The Fan on Monday night, coach Ryan Day said Davis had received “great news” and Wade was also “good to go.” Both players, who were preseason All-Americans and selected as team captains in August, were at practice last week. They briefly left the team prior to the Big Ten’s decision to restart its season, which is to begin next month when the Buckeyes host Nebraska on Oct. 24. Davis and Wade both announced intentions to enter next year’s NFL draft, prompting their departures, but neither said they had hired an agent. They are viewed as possible first-round selections.
