COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s Drue Chrisman has been named one of the 199 semifinalists for the William V. Campbell Trophy. The award is presented annually to the best student-athlete in college football. Players eligible must be a senior or graduate student in their final year of eligibility and have at least a 3.2 GPA. It is named for the late Bill Campbell, who played for Columbia from 1959-61. He’d later serve as head coach from 1974-79 compiling a 12-41 record — 8-33-1 in the Ivy League — in the process. In 2010, he was inducted into the Columbia Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010. Chrisman returns for his fourth season as the Buckeyes’ punter having placed 72 of his 158 punts inside the 20-yard line.
