Indiana football is like the little engine that. “I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.” The Hoosiers want to be a respected football program, on par with the top teams in the Big Ten. The hiring of Kevin Wilson in 2011 was supposed to be what put IU over the top, and there were some good seasons in Wilson’s six-year run, but Indiana just couldn’t quite get to .500. Perhaps 2020, with everything that has gone on the last nine months, will finally be the year where the Hoosiers emerge. After fourth-year head coach Tom Allen led IU to an 8-5 record, a Gator Bowl trip and an appearance in the AP Poll top 25 rankings last season, things are moving in the right direction in Bloomington.
