Ryan Day, Mark Pantoni and the Ohio State staff signed the nation’s No. 5 recruiting class in 2020. And while none of them appear to be sure-fire day-one starters in part because of all the talent already on hand, it’s a collection of talent that is likely to produce a number of first-year contributors. There are just too many talented members of that class to keep them all off the field. Some will contribute right away. Due to the position they play and they’re physical talent, the Ohio State coaching staff will make use of their abilities and Buckeye fans will see a number of the true freshmen on the field in game one.
