In late March the Buckeyes offered a scholarship to one of the country’s elite class of 2022 wide receivers, Caleb Burton from Del Valle (Texas). The offer came from Ohio State wide receivers coach Brian Hartline while the two were on a call. The next day Burton was on a Zoom call with Hartline, head coach Ryan Day and other Ohio State staffers. Burton told Bucknuts of his strong interest in the Buckeyes at the time. Then in May Burton again told Bucknuts of that strong interest. “That’s definitely still the case,” Burton told Bucknuts in May. “When it comes to dropping my Top 12, Top 8, Top 5, they will be on my list.
