Voting opportunities remain the same in the Buckeye State, except with masks, social distancing required


MARTINS FERRY — As voters prepare to make their decisions on who to put in office and what tax levies to approve, they may be wondering what Election Day will look like on Nov. 3 because of COVID-19. Local elections officials in Belmont, Jefferson, Harrison and Monroe counties say the voting process won’t look much different. In fact, the opportunities to vote are the same as during any other election year. People can vote absentee by mail, which means they can mail back their ballots or deliver them in person to county their election headquarters. They can vote early in-person at election headquarters, or they can wait until Nov. 3 and vote in person at their precinct.
