Pac-12 football is back. Training camp is underway, the regular season is 20-something days away and a slight sense of normalcy is returning to the footprint. But issues linger. Budget issues. Recruiting issues. Brand issues. Long-haul viability issues. Also, scheduling issues. What happens to the canceled non-conference games? We’re keenly interested in two: Michigan at Washington and Ohio State at Oregon. It’s not often that Big Ten (or SEC) blue bloods visit west coast campuses. Salvaging those games — and doing it as soon as possible — is important for the Pac-12 generally and the schools specifically. But scheduling is a complicated business, at least in normal years, and that goes double for rescheduling. We scanned future lineup for potential makeup dates and had difficulty finding an obvious slot for the Buckeyes to visit Autzen Stadium.
