Michigan State made another addition to its next recruiting class. A.J. Kirk, a 2021 safety from Archbishop Hoban High School in Ohio, announced his commitment to the Spartans on Tuesday night via Instagram. He doesn’t have a 247Sports Composite ranking but is listed as a three-star recruit by both 247Sports and Rivals. Kirk’s other offers include Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State, according to Cleveland.com. Kirk is the younger brother of former Ohio State All-American safety and NFL player Mike Doss. First-year Michigan State coach Mel Tucker was the secondary coach at Ohio State while Doss played for the Buckeyes. Kirk, 6-foot-0 and 200 pounds, previously played at Dublin Coffman High School before transferring to Archbishop Hoban. Michigan State now has 16 players committed to its 2021 recruiting class, which is 52nd in the nation according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
