Denzel Burke continues to recover from shoulder injury while preparing to be an Ohio State football player: Buckeyes Recruiting Roundup

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Denzel Burke of Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Arizona will have weathered adversity before becoming an Ohio State football player. The nation’s No. 180 player and No. 8 athlete quickly turned a January offer from the Buckeyes into a May commitment as one of five defensive backs in the class. The return of defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs along with the efforts of head coach Ryan Day and quarterbacks coach Corey Dennis were to thank for that. “I want to play against the best of the best, day in and day out,” Burke told cleveland.com’s Robby Fenbers. “What they have been doing with the DBs the past couple years, I want to be developed.
