COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football saw members of its 2022 recruiting class earn significant jumps in the updated 247Sports composite rankings. That was headlined by C.J. Hicks, who went from No. 71 to No. 53 as the third-best outside linebacker in the country. Hicks has become a leader of the Buckeyes’ class, having taken it upon himself to recruit others to join a group that already features six commits. His rise in the rankings shouldn’t come as a surprise. He stands at 6-foot-4 and 218 pounds with an athletic frame capable of playing any of the three linebacker positions, which is what Al Washington wants from his position group.
