COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s defense again begins the season with a chip on its shoulder — though for different reasons than a year ago. That defense returned mostly intact from one of the worst performances in program history. Aspiring Silver Bullets at all three levels were out to prove they were better than their own efforts from the previous season. Most of Ohio State’s 2020 defenders must prove who they are in the first place. Only two spots on this defense have not turned over since last season, either via position change or a first-time starter.
