Darrel Rowland | The Columbus Dispatch In yet another confirmation of Ohio’s status as an unexpected battleground state, Vice President Mike Pence is returning for a visit Friday afternoon. The appearance at the Toledo Airport comes just two days after he appeared in Cincinnati. It also will be the day after the final debate between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden. Polls have shown that the Buckeye State, which Trump won by more than eight points in 2016, is virtually deadlocked. Tickets for the 1 p.m. event at Grande Air at the airport in Swanton, just southwest of Toledo can be obtained here. Doors open at 11 a.m. Trump held a rally at the same airport last month, an event that was attended by a few thousand.
