COLUMBUS, Ohio — When the Ohio State football team kicks off its season against Nebraska on Saturday, it will have been 301 days since the Buckeyes last took the field. That’s almost a full year since the Buckeyes’ season ended in a 29-23 loss to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl. The days since have provided an emotional rollercoaster for players, coaches and fans alike. The motivation may have always been to redeem themselves and compete for a National Championship while going through the Tigers in the process. But when that Buckeyes left the locker room in State Farm Stadium, they didn’t think so many days would pass until they played again.
