COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Stadium is usually filled with 104,944 fans on Saturdays in the fall, and among those watchers are Ohio State football recruits who’d spent the previous night playing high school football games. Those games will still be played on Friday night, and those recruits will still make their way to Columbus after, but they won’t be in Ohio Stadium. Instead, they’ll assemble at the home of five-star defensive end commit Jack Sawyer, who came up with the idea for the 2020 Buckeye Bash. This event should’ve taken place in June — as it did last summer — giving the Buckeyes a chance to bring former, current and future players together for a weekend.
