Another Big Ten football program is dealing with a COIVD-19 outbreak and this time it could affect Michigan State. Maryland (2-1) on Wednesday afternoon announced it paused all football activities and canceled Saturday’s game against No. 3 Ohio State (3-0). The Big Ten previously determined any game that can’t be played will be ruled a no-contest and won’t be rescheduled. Maryland said the decision to pause team activities and cancel Saturday’s game was made by athletic director Damon Evans and president Darryll Pines based on a recommendation from university health officials and in discussion with the Big Ten.
