Ohio State football families not allowed at Indiana game on Saturday due to coronavirus advisory


COLUMBUS, Ohio — While the absence of fans diminished the atmosphere at Ohio State football games this fall, the Buckeyes at least had the vocal backing of their families in the stands. That may not be the case the rest of the season, due to the latest local surge in cases during the coronavirus pandemic. The Columbus Department of Health issued a stay at home advisory beginning at 6 p.m. Friday. As a result, Ohio State will not permit the families of players, coaches and staff to attend Saturday’s game against Indiana. The stay-at-home advisory will be in effect for 28 days. Ohio State said the decision not to allow families will be reevaluated prior to the Dec. 12 game against Michigan.
