Ohio State football is separating itself from the rest of the Big Ten, and recruits are taking notice: Buckeyes recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — As Big Ten heavyweights Michigan and Penn State continue through tumultuous 2020 seasons, Ohio State football looks more stable and attractive as ever, and recruits are taking notice. The top-ranked Buckeyes solidified their stranglehold on the 2022 class rankings with the recent commitment of five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers of Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas. Ewers, who is the No. 2 overall prospect in the class, according to the 247Sports.com composite, had decommitted from the Longhorns in late October, quickly drawing crystal balls to Ohio State. Ewers joins fellow another five-star, No. 1 outside linebacker Gabe Powers from Marysville High School, in OSU’s 2020 class. The earthquake that was the Ewers commitment could be just the beginning as Ohio State is targeting a slew of highly touted recruits, including another Texan, four-star wide receiver, Caleb Burton.
