COLUMBUS, Ohio — Del Valle (Texas) High School head football coach Charles Burton sees the positives that the dead period has presented to kids in the 2022 recruiting class. No, they didn’t get the summer that comes with being a rising junior that usually includes traveling all over the country attending camps and racking up scholarship offers. Now they’re missing out on a fall where kids usually attend college football games as part of unofficial visits as they start to trim their options down to decide who sticks out. The best chance of taking visits will be if the pandemic is more under control by April 15, and everything can return to normal.
