Ohio State coach Ryan Day tests positive for COVID-19 with games vs. MSU, Michigan next two weeks


Ohio State coach Ryan Day tested positive for COVID-19, the school announced on Friday afternoon. It also confirmed “an increased number” of positive tests this week for the program, although the team still plans on playing at Illinois on Saturday. The No. 4 Buckeyes (4-0) are in first place in the Big Ten East Division and their following two games are at Michigan State (1-3) on Dec. 5 and against Michigan (2-3) on Dec. 12. Ohio State typically releases a status report for players on Friday morning but didn’t do so this week and Cleveland.com reported that is expected to happen about 10 a.m. Saturday – about two hours before kickoff against Illinois. Players who test positive are sidelined from games for a minimum of 21 days while coaches are out at least 10 days.
