What’s next for Ohio State football after coronavirus outbreak and cancellation? Buckeye Talk Emergency Pod


CHAMPAIGN, Illinois — Up until Wednesday night, there were no indications around Ohio State football that Saturday’s game was headed for a cancellation. Even Friday afternoon, after confirmation that coach Ryan Day was among the program members who had tested positive for coronavirus, the team planned to travel to Champaign. Defensive line coach Larry Johnson would serve as interim coach, and the team would depart Saturday morning. Another batch of COVID-19 test results, however, removed any chance for the Buckeyes to play. Beyond the health concerns of the individuals who have tested positive, Ohio State now confronts multiple football questions. How widespread is the outbreak?
