
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football held on to the No. 3 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, though the Buckeyes’ lead over Clemson is dwindling. Ohio State received 1,403 voting points this week, down from 1,440 last week. Clemson’s points total rose by 34 to 1,392. That gape could close again, or possibly flip, if Ohio State cannot play at Michigan State on Saturday due to its coronavirus outbreak. The Buckeyes are 4-0 but have played half as many games as the other teams at the top of the poll. Clemson was No. 3 in the first College Football Playoff rankings, one spot ahead of Ohio State. Alabama remained No. 1 and again hogged all 63 first-place votes.
