Ohio State football’s Shaun Wade back to making plays when the Buckeyes need him the most


COLUMBUS, Ohio — One of the storylines of the first half of Ohio State football’s season concerned alleged stars who were not playing up to elite reputations. You could include Shaun Wade in that mix. The junior cornerback twice decided to put off NFL Draft preparation to return fo the 2020 season. His adjustment to the outside was just that — a period of adaptation that required new strategies, perspectives and physical skills. As the regular season concludes this week, Wade has begun to show he can be the playmaker Ohio State needs. He snagged his second interception in as many games in a 52-12 victory at Michigan State. He also collected four tackles and a pass breakup and shared OSU’s Defensive Player of the Game honor with Haskell Garrett.
