Big Ten expected to remove six-game requirement for championship game, setting up Ohio State vs. Northwestern: Reports


COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Big Ten Conference reportedly may come to a common-sense conclusion to determine whether Ohio State can play in the league championship game. However, that may mean the Buckeyes will not play this weekend. Per Yahoo’s Pete Thamel and other reports, the Big Ten is expected to vote today to remove the six-game requirement for championship game eligibility. Ohio State is 5-0 and the only undefeated team in the East Division, but had one game canceled due to its own coronavirus cases and two canceled because of outbreaks on other teams.
