Ohio State football’s Tuf Borland, Josh Proctor among those back at practice on Wednesday


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football has played its roster details close to the vest in recent weeks as the program dealt with an undisclosed number of coronavirus cases. The Buckeyes used their Twitter account to announce a couple of important defensive players would have been back if the team had been able to play this week. Photos published from Wednesday’s practice in the Woody Hayes Athletic Complex showed senior linebacker and three-time captain Tuf Borland and junior safety Josh Proctor participating. Both were among the 17 scholarship players who did not make the trip to East Lansing last Saturday for a 52-12 victory over Michigan State. Ohio State included Borland, Proctor and the other absentees on a status report Saturday morning. However, it did not distinguish between injury, illness or disciplinary reasons as to why players appeared on the list. Ohio State has not confirmed a positive coronavirus test…
