COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football misses Chris Olave, and for the second straight season, trails at halftime of the Big Ten championship game. Northwestern leads the Buckeyes 10-6 at halftime at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Buckeyes must win not only to extend their streak of Big Ten championships to five, but also to have any chance of making the College Football Playoff. Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields suffered through his second poor performance in the past three games played. He finished the first half 9 of 20 for 101 yards and an interception.
