CLEVELAND, Ohio — There’s good news and bad news if you’ve been itching all season to watch Ohio State play in person. The good news: ticket prices for Friday’s Allstate Sugar Bowl game between the Buckeyes and Clemson Tigers at the Mercedez-Benz Superdome in New Orleans are going down. The bad news: the get-in price is the highest the game has seen in 10 seasons. The average price for a ticket on the secondary market is currently $1,739, according to TicketIQ. The cheapest seat is $1,139, while prime seating locations on the 50-yard-line are listed at $5,000 and above. The silver living: prices are down about 23 percent from a week ago and figure to be even lower by the time you read this. Indeed, StubHub has seats listed at $827.
