
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State lost to Oklahoma on a Saturday in a game when the starting quarterback didn’t play that well, and on Tuesday when reporters were let in for interviews after practice, the backup quarterback was making 40-yard throws for everyone to see. Dwayne Haskins didn’t do that after every practice. But he did it that day three years ago. He did it to make a point, and we all got it. For anyone wondering about a quarterback switch after Week 2 of the 2017 season, and plenty of OSU fans were thinking J.T. Barrett should be benched, Haskins wanted everyone to know the other option was ready.
