
COLUMBUS, Ohio — While many schools have received the green light to begin full-contact practices, the case is not the same for four-star junior wide receiver Kaleb Brown and St. Rita High School in Chicago. Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, high school football in Illinois has been limited to restricted contact in order to maintain health and safety guidelines. “The state has really limited us on what we can do,” St. Rita coach Todd Kuska said. “Since basically November, we’ve been strictly in the weight room and obviously we have to watch our numbers… can’t let too many guys get in there.” Subsequently, St. Rita has had just 20 contact days, leaving players to take the independent route of working out themselves. “We’re banking on being able to start practicing with February 15 as our start-up date,” Kuska said. “The first game is scheduled for March but right…
