To quote the late Yogi Berra, “It’s deja vu all over again.” No. 2 Clemson will face No. 3 Ohio State in the 2021 Sugar Bowl, a College Football Playoff semifinal game … just like the last two meetings between the Tigers and Buckeyes. Last year, it was Clemson squeaking by OSU 29-23 in the Fiesta Bowl. Four years ago, in the 2016 Fiesta Bowl, it wasn’t as close, though the ultimate result was the same as Clemson cruised 31-0. Perhaps moving the game to New Orleans will be what the Buckeyes need to pick up their first win against the Tigers, or perhaps it won’t matter.
