
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State linebacker Marcus Freeman continues to climb the coaching ranks — and his latest step includes a future collision with the Buckeyes. Notre Dame is hiring Freeman as defensive coordinator. Ohio State is scheduled to open the 2022 season at home against the Fighting Irish and plays in South Bend in 2023. Freeman reportedly chose Notre Dame over LSU.
