
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football completed its final round of coronavirus testing on Friday and remains on schedule to play in Monday’s College Football Playoff national championship game against Alabama. Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne also said on Twitter that the Crimson Tide have completed their testing. Ohio State is scheduled to arrive in Miami at 5:30 p.m, Saturday, while Alabama is reportedly making the trip on Friday. Ohio State coach Ryan Day acknowledged on Thursday that the Buckeyes are dealing with “a new set of challenges” related to COVID-19 cases. He declined to enumerate the players available for Monday’s game, saying only, “We’ll have plenty of players.” Ohio State has not played a game with a full roster unaffected by COVID-19 cases since at least Nov. 21 against Indiana.
