Earlier in the day, the team released a hype video for the big game featuring LeBron James and John Legend. “The Chapter of Champions” video highlights the team’s perseverance, not just in year’s past, but also in this season as COVID-19 caused the team to cancel games and, at one point, almost derailed their season. The impacts of COVID-19 are still being felt heading into the season’s final game. Earlier in the week, head coach Ryan Day said the Buckeyes will have plenty of players available, but described losing players to COVID-19 as a “gut punch”. “When you lose people, it’s a gut punch,” Day said.
