Ohio State football’s Miyan Williams apparently out for national championship game against Alabama


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s Miyan Williams implied on Twitter that he did not travel to Miami for Monday’s College Football Playoff national championship against Alabama. Williams had been the Buckeyes’ No 2 running back of late, with Master Teague unavailable in the second half of the Big Ten championship game and in the Sugar Bowl against Clemson. Ohio State coach Ryan Day confirmed the team was dealing with additional positive tests for coronavirus this week. Per team policy, he did not identify those players or even disclose a number of players out. The team will release a status report approximately one hour prior to Monday’s 8:15 p.m. kickoff. In the former, Williams took one handoff to give Trey Sermon a breather.
